- On average, women gain 31 pounds as a result of pregnancy (Q1)
- Men perceive the average amount of weight gained as less than what women report.
- Nearly everyone agrees that pregnancy changed their body. (Q2)
- Of the woman agreeing that pregnancy did change her body, the majority say that change was for the worse (Q3)
- Just about half of women surveyed say they were unprepared for the changes in their body after having a baby. (Q12)
- Men are slightly more prepared than women for the changes in a woman’s body.

- Women are either somewhat or very unhappy with their body. (Q4)
- Of those women claiming to be happy with their body the majority say that it is due to the fact that their body is the same as before having a baby. (Q5)
- Most women feel less physically attractive after having a baby. (Q11)
- Women liked their pre-baby abdomen and breasts, while men cite breasts as the feature they liked most. (Q13)

- To have an ideal body, almost 1/5 of women and almost ¼ of men surveyed say they would like to lose 11-20 pounds. (Q6)
- The average weight women report wanting to lose (36.6 lbs) is significantly more than what men think women should lose (27.1), on average.
- Going down 2 clothing sizes would suit most women. (Q7)
